Meet the Katies


  • Katie has spent nearly two decades shaping communications and public relations strategies for some of the world’s most influential agencies, entrepreneurs, startups, and Fortune 500 companies, including Salesforce, Jawbone, Nasty Gal, Samsung, and Qualcomm.

    Before starting her consulting practice in 2023, she spent nearly a decade in Sydney, Australia shaping Fortune 500 C-suite voices across Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and India.

    Katie is on a mission to make communications more accessible to founders and companies of all sizes by empowering consultants with the support, tools, and education they need to deliver exceptional work, leading her to co-found Comms People in 2025. The platform now serves a thriving community of over 100 communications consultants, providing them with the resources and infrastructure to build sustainable independent practices.

    Katie currently runs her consultancy practice out of Bend, Oregon for clients based all over the globe. Catch her in the wild snowboarding, paddle boarding, watching every scary movie on the planet, and exploring her new town with her husband and golden retriever Burger.


  • With nearly 20 years of PR experience under her belt Katie has worked across some of the leading global technology brands both on the agency side and in-house including Meta, HP, SAP, Accenture, Toshiba, and Salesforce. Katie has spent the last 11.5 years at Salesforce growing the local comms function and driving the brand forward into new markets in Asia Pacific.

    She is a passionate team leader, diversity advocate and wishes we could create a better environment for working parents in Australia.

    Katie lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband, 4 kids (including identical twin girls!) and cat Lettie. She enjoys a good coffee, a morning swim at Freshwater beach, time to read, time to listen to gritty true crime podcasts, and sipping on the only alcohol she missed when pregnant — a nice Italian red.
